As you might already know, Bank Transfer Day is this Saturday, Nov. 5. What you may not know is that on Bank of America’s website, their terms & conditions state that the proper action to close your account with their bank is to write a letter and send it to Tampa. Of course, that makes sense. (Not really.)

Regardless, like most banks, B of A closes around 2PM on Saturday, and I have to work. So Bank of America will be getting its letter — all 6 pages of it.

If anyone else is unable to make it to the bank on Saturday in an attempt to close your account before 2, I encourage you to write that letter. You have as many pages as you’d like to express your frustration, and even if only one person reads it, that’s enough to make them think. Also, it’s no coincidence that I put my account information at the end. ;)

Feel free to post links to your letters on our Occupy LA Facebook page, and I’ll repost the best ones for all our fans to see. This goes for all big incorporated banks — let’s let them know exactly what we think of their predatory practices.
